Ed and I traveled to Fairbanks Alaska in August 2011. The Alaska Pipeline was on our list of "Must Sees"
We visited the Chena Hot Springs about an hour outside of Fairbanks. This is the Ice Bar in the Ice House complete with Solid Ice Martini glasses.
The Chena Hot Springs are said to have healing properties from the minerals in the water. The water is 140 degrees and is cooled to 104 for soaking weary bodies.
The young bull moose that stopped for a quick photo opp!
Traveled to North Pole Alaska to visit with the big guy.
